lemon peel — A small piece.acid
1 jiggerbrandy base
1 wholesugar — lump of sugarbase
2 dashbitters bitter
hot water — Just enough to cover the sugar.dilution
1 wholeice — One lump ice.other
  1. Crush the lump of sugar in a whiskey glass with sufficient hot water to cover it.
  2. Add one lump of ice, bitters, lemon peel, and brandy.
  3. Stir with a small bar spoon and serve, leaving the spoon in the glass.
