1lemon peel — Twist on top.acid
0.5 wine glassapple brandy — apple whiskeybase
2 dashesgum syrup base
1 dashAngostura bitters bitter
  1. Stir the gum syrup, Angostura bitters, and apple whiskey well.
  2. Strain into a cocktail glass, twist a piece of lemon peel on top, and serve.

Garnish: Twisted lemon peel.

Daly's New Jersey comment helps anchor this as a regional orchard-spirit aromatic, not just a generic whiskey substitution.

The formula is intentionally compact and keeps close to the old cocktail grammar.
