  1. Dissolve the sugar in a large punch bowl.
  2. Add the lemon juice, claret, strawberry juice, Apollinaris water, and a large piece of ice, stir well, and serve in small glass cups.
  3. Frappé softly in a large ice-cream freezer if desired.
