  1. Use old fashioned cocktail glass, crush sugar with seltzer, add ice, bitters, lemon peel, and whiskey, stir gently, and leave spoon in glass.

  1. Crush the sugar with the bitters in a heavy-bottomed bar glass.
  2. Add rye and several lumps of ice, then stir.
  3. Leave the drink in the mixing glass, garnish with orange peel, pineapple, and cherries, express lemon peel over the top, and serve with the barspoon.
