| 12 limes | lime juice — Juice of 12 limes. | base |
| 1 pint | St. Croix rum | base |
| 1 quart | champagne | other |
| 1 large block | ice | other |
| granulated sugar — Sufficient to make a paste. | sweetener |
- Mix the lime juice and enough granulated sugar to make a paste, then add the St. Croix rum.
- Let it mull for 12 hours, add a large block of ice and the Champagne, and serve.
