0.75 portionFrench vermouth — French Vermouthbase
0.25 portionPineapple juice — fresh pineapple juicedilution
ice — broken iceother
powdered sugar — Dip dampened edge of glass in powdered sugar.sweetener
  1. Shake the French vermouth, fresh pineapple juice, and broken ice.
  2. Strain into a cocktail glass with a sugared rim and serve.

Garnish: Sugared rim

1 jiggerdry gin — Dry Ginbase

whipped cream — Whipped Creamdilution

  1. Shake well and strain into a claret glass.
  2. Finish with whipped cream on top.

Garnish: Whipped cream

This is useful because it shows the pre-war sour family still overlapping with cream-topped and dessert-like service styles.
