  1. Pour the sparkling wine, iced milk punch, shaven ice, and soda-water into a vessel in ice.
  2. Cover for a quarter of an hour and serve.

This hybrid is one of Terrington's strangest sparkling cups and shows how permeable the boundary was between cup and punch families.

The quarter-hour covered rest is a balancing stage, not just a holding period.
