| 1 wine-glass | Jamaica rum | base |
| 1 large teaspoonful | powdered sugar — Dissolved in a little seltzer water. | base |

- Mix the powdered sugar dissolved in a little seltzer water with the lemon juice and Jamaica rum in a large glass.
- Fill with shaved ice, shake, strain into a claret glass, and serve ornamented.
