| 1 lump | sugar — Reduce to syrup with a little hot water. | base |

- Reduce the sugar to syrup with a little hot water in a 3 oz glass, then add the Holland gin, bitters, lemon peel, and ice cube.
- Stir slowly with a spoon and serve.
