  1. Put the rum, sliced orange, peppermint essence, and sugar charged with clove essence into a soda-water tumbler.
  2. Fill up with pounded ice and serve.

The name and mixed perfume-like seasoning make this one of the more idiosyncratic small coolers in the book.

This is a lightly lengthened aromatic rum cooler rather than a formal punch.
