- Pour the Asmannshausen, with the optional Creme de Rose if used, into a cool vessel.
- Add the German seltzer water and sparkling Moselle.
- Drop in a large lump of ice, stir, and serve.

The optional rose liqueur gives the drink a perfumed floral branch unusual in the red Rhenish line.
