2 bottlesChablis base
1 bottleaerated lemonade or potass water dilution
1 sliceCucumber garnish
1 quartice — shaven iceother
1 bottleSillery Champagne other
  1. Put the Chablis, Sillery Champagne, chosen aerated mixer, cucumber, and shaven ice together in a jug that has been some time imbedded in ice.
  2. Serve as soon as possible.

Garnish: Slice of cucumber.

Ice: Shaven ice

This is one of Terrington's most overtly hybrid still-and-sparkling white-wine cups.

Pre-chilling the jug is again part of the intended effect rather than a casual note.
