| 0.5 lemon | lemon juice — Lemon juice | acid |
| 1 jigger | Cognac brandy | base |
| 1 lump | sugar — Sugar | base |
| 1 jigger | cherry brandy — Cherry brandy | modifier |
| 1 whole | Maraschino cherry — Maraschino cherry | modifier |
- Dissolve the sugar in a little water, add the lemon juice and both brandies, then stir with ice.
- Strain into a cocktail glass, drop in the cherry, and serve.
