2 limelime juice — juice of two limesacid
1 tablespoonfulsugar base
water — Used to fill before shaking.dilution
1 whiteegg white — white of an eggother
  1. Shake the ingredients thoroughly with cracked ice and water.
  2. Strain into a cut goblet, decorate, and serve with straws.

This is a good reminder that serious temperance-style drinks borrowed egg-white texture and full shaker technique from the alcoholic side of the bar.

The drink is shaken like a fizz or sour rather than merely stirred like a household lemonade.
