Cocktail Boothby's American Bar-Tender by Wm. T. Boothby (1891, p.46)

1 tablespoonfulsugar base
2 jiggersherry modifier
1 eggegg — raw eggother
  1. Place the sugar, sherry, and egg in a large bar glass and fill with fine ice.
  2. Shake thoroughly and serve in a large goblet with fruit and straws.

Garnish: Fruit

This is a good fortified-wine-and-egg checkpoint outside the more familiar eggnog and flip labels.

Despite the wine base, Boothby treats it like a fully shaken decorative long drink.
