- Put the sugar into a mixing-glass and dissolve it with a little water, then fill the glass half-full with fine ice.
- Add the lemon juice, brandy, and St. Croix rum.
- Shake well, strain into a fancy bar-glass and ornament with fruit, or leave on the ice and serve with straws.
